| The main reason was all of the labor
hours involved to produce high-quality work and the other problem
was stocking all of the different artwork to silk-screen so many
different years and dials.
I will still be doing the 65, 66 & 67 GTO Rally Gauges on a limited basis and by appointment only. Call or E-Mail: for an estimate. I am in the process of getting all new gauge dials manufactured. Later this year or in 2005 I plan to be selling brand new painted dials. These will be exact reproductions of the originals and the customer will install these parts into their set(s) of gauges. For starters I am going to going to make the speedometer & tachometer dial for both 1965, 1966 and 1967 GTO Rally Gauges. At the same time I am going to reproduce a speedometer dial for the 1964-1967 Standard gauges. (I am only going to make one version of this dial, the one that has the slot for the brake warning light.) Restoring Gauges for the past 14 years has been a lot of fun but
now it's time to move on to new projects. I plan on writing more &
getting small hard-to-find parts made for shifters and linkage. |
